This policy explains what information DID collects, how cookies and third-party advertising work on this site, and the choices you have under GDPR and CCPA.

1. Who we are

This website, DID: Decor Interior Design (decorinteriordesign.com), is operated by Souad MARIP ("we", "us", "our"). This policy applies to all pages and tools under decorinteriordesign.com.

2. The short version

  • Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The room dimensions and other values you enter are never sent to us or stored on a server.
  • We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and we plan to display advertising through Google.
  • Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) load only after you consent via our cookie banner.
  • You can withdraw consent, opt out, or request your rights at any time - see the sections below.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you actively provide

If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we receive the information you choose to send - typically your name, email address and message - so we can reply. We use a third-party form-delivery provider to transmit these messages to us.

3.2 Information collected automatically

With your consent, our analytics and (in future) advertising partners automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address (truncated/anonymized where supported), device and browser type, referring pages, and how you interact with the site. This helps us measure traffic and improve the tools.

3.3 Tool inputs

The measurements you type into any calculator are processed locally by JavaScript in your browser to produce a result. They are not transmitted to us and are discarded when you leave or refresh the page.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We group them as:

  • Essential - required for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics - help us understand aggregate usage. Loaded only with consent.
  • Advertising - used by Google and its partners to serve and measure ads. Loaded only with consent.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can change your consent choice using the cookie banner. Blocking essential cookies may affect basic functionality.

5. Google AdSense and the DoubleClick DART cookie

We intend to display advertising served by Google AdSense. When active, and subject to your consent, the following apply:

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies - including the DoubleClick DART cookie - to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

6. Analytics

Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate usage statistics. We enable IP anonymization and operate Google Consent Mode so that no analytics or advertising storage occurs until you accept. Google acts as a data processor for this purpose.

7. Third-party vendors and data sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited data only with service providers that help us operate the site, specifically:

  • Google LLC - analytics and advertising (AdSense), subject to consent.
  • Our contact-form provider - to deliver messages you send us.
  • Our hosting/CDN provider - to serve the website and maintain security logs.

Each processes data under its own privacy terms and applicable data-processing agreements.

8. Your rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction or erasure of your data;
  • Restrict or object to processing, including profiling for advertising;
  • Data portability;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing; and
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including cross-context behavioral advertising); and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. To the extent that serving personalized ads is considered a "sale" or "share" under California law, you can opt out by declining cookies in our banner, enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or emailing us the request marked "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" at marip@decorinteriordesign.com.

10. Managing and withdrawing consent

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Until you accept, analytics and advertising storage stay disabled through Google Consent Mode. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies/local storage, which brings the banner back.

11. Data retention

Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Analytics data is retained according to our provider's configured retention window. Tool inputs are not retained at all.

12. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and hosted on reputable infrastructure. While no method of transmission is perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we handle.

13. Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. International visitors

We are based in the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or the law. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
